SLOOP applications

AnasuriaSLOOP can be applied to a wide range of offshore planning and concept design issues. It can be used to model the performance of complete offshore oil or gas field systems from the wells through to market, or it can be used to investigate the performance of small part of the system (e.g. a development drilling program, or shuttle tanker operations).

Simulations can be 'snapshot' - modelling a particular year in the life of the field as a steady state situation, or they may be 'field life' - modelling the way in which the field production and operations change with time throughout the field life. In both types of simulation many repeats are performed in different realisations of the weather and other random failure events so that the results obtained are statistically meaningful.

Simulations can be very detailed or can be very simplified, depending on the application and on the available information.
